How I work
In order for me to serve you, we need to get to know each other.
Services are really relationships.
My shortest engagement until now was a two hour workshop. My longest and deepest engagements have been ongoing for eleven and eight years respectively.
Working together over longer periods of time allows me to learn what you do and allows us to deepen and broaden our ways of working.
It’s simple:
- We talk first.
You tell me why you are talking to me and I tell you a bit about what I might be able to offer you. - We agree on a first step.
We’ll take a small one first and it might look something like:- a review of what you’ve done so far
- an opinion on your choices so far
- a suggestion for something you might explore
- a critique of a specific service
- a workshop to develop ideas
- another question in response to yours
- We keep going. Or not.
We develop plans for further activities and carry out those plans with a greater or lesser degree of involvement from me. We’ll talk about it and reach agreement.

Honest work, honest pay
I charge an hourly rate of 100€ plus tax.
(No, he just publicised his hourly rate. What is he thinking?) Yes, I did.
I do honest work and expect to be compensated honestly for it.
Trust not contracts
I won’t ask you to sign a contract to work with me.
Contracts imply that we won’t be able to trust each other and that we need a very well-defined and difficult to understand set of rules.
If we don’t trust each other, we can’t work together.
